Another major charitable initiative has been successfully completed, with the Chernivtsi Psychiatric Hospital receiving the much-needed 150 kW generator. Following a request from the hospital asking for help with securing a generator, we immediately sprang into action in collaboration with Fundacja Forum. It was a painstaking task involving promotional campaigns, fundraising, charity auctions, and the actual search for and delivery of the generators themselves. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who took part in our campaign: Marta Borowska, Rafal Kijonka, Fundacja Forum, Tjerk Geersing, Antonius van Puffelen, Dmitri Yakovlev, the team at the Yukon Charity Foundation, and, of course, the director of our foundation, who also organized the transportation and delivery of the generator.
A first-hand account from a psychiatrist at the Chernivtsi Psychiatric Hospital:
“On Christmas Day, good news arrived: Mykhailo Shkurey delivered the generator we’d been dreaming of! With this, I felt a sense of relief and hope for a better future – that we will get through all the blackouts and hardships… Once again, despite all the evil, cruelty, despair and disillusionment, a ray of warmth, human compassion and a deep genuine love for one’s neighbour has shone through! We sincerely thank the Yukon Charity Foundation, its tireless heroes, and the donors from Poland and the Netherlands who have shared a little of their warmth and peace with us! A good day indeed.”
Together, we can make the impossible happen.
Thank you all for your cooperation.
We are not stopping and will continue our work.
